Dispute between Shi‘as and Tatars over a marriage, 1899-1900
Report from the Iranian Consulate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from Astrakhan, about a dispute between the Shi‘as and Tatars over the marriage of Khalili's daughter. Tatars claim that since the girl's mother was not a permanent wife, according to Russian law, her child is a Russian national. But Shi‘as of Haji Tarkhan oppose her marriage to a Tatar man. After some disturbances, the consulate has decided to take the mother and daughter into police custody to protect their safety; along with a receipt of the document and acknowledgment of the consulate's effort

Copy of the statement by Haji Mirza Ibrahim Shari‘atmadar (local religious notable) on how Haji Aqa ‘Ali Akbar used the property owned by his wife, Hajiyah Khanum (daughter of Aqa Muhammad), became in debt and thus settled his own property to Hajiyah Khanum and her two children while paying a sum to his other two children from his temporary wives. ʻAlaviyah Khanum Kirmani's travel journal. ʻAlaviyah Khanum, ʻAli Khan and a few others went on Hajj and made pilgrimages to the shrines in Iraq. On the way back to Iran, she visited a number of cities including Tehran and the Nasiri Court. This travel journal was written by ʻAlaviyah Khanum Kirmani. On the first page of the book (this page was written by ʻAli Khan at the request of ʻAlaviyah Khanum), ʻAlaviyah Khanum noted that she wrote this book because she missed her husband and also to record these events in history.
